The Toronto Hurons got a magnificent effort from pitcher Mike Beers, who kept Twin Cities hitters in check en route to a 1-0 Hurons win at Dominion Field. Twin Cities, at 40-53, has lost 5 straight.

With the game on the line, Dave Browning came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. And the Toronto third baseman came through, cracking a run-scoring single off Syed Farooqi, the Twin Cities pitcher.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Jim Burns, the Toronto skipper.
