Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Boston Terriers were eager to watch Bruce Shurtleff square off against Dan Crumm of the visiting Toronto Hurons. In the end, the Hurons won the game, 6-0, with Dan Crumm leading the way. Crumm, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing no runs.

Toronto relied on the bat of Jorge Luna to get the win. The center fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the third inning to put the Hurons ahead, 4-0. For the game, Luna had 1 double and 1 triple in 3 at-bats.
