Kansas City Gets Another L
|
The Cleveland Bobcats topped the Kansas City Bulls, 3-1, in National Baseball League action at Lakefront Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Cleveland pitcher and Gainesville, Florida, native Myron Baird. The 6th-place Bulls have dropped 6 straight games.
With no one out in the bottom of the seventh, Danny Fierro had a game-changing hit. The Bobcats pinch hitter slammed a 2-run single off Skip Carter, making the score 2-1, Cleveland.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager DD Martin.
