The Philadelphia Quakers defeated the Cincinnati Packers, 6-4. Doing his part was first baseman Ken Terry, who was 3-5 with 3 doubles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Art Wohlt closed the game out for Philadelphia, earning his 3rd save. The Quakers go to 38-57 with the win.

Terry had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a 1-2 fastball from Brian Alfieri, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Quakers a 6-4 lead. It was the 25th double of the year for Terry.

"Winning never gets dull," said Terry.
