Not everyone stuck through the 33-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

Pittsburgh registered a win at Allegheny Field by beating the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 9-4. Pitcher Jerry Zaruba was one reason why the Industrials triumphed. The triumph puts Pittsburgh at 55-40 for the season.

Alex Robinson had a big 2-run double for the Industrials in the bottom of the first inning. With Pittsburgh leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Dave Teckenbrock, the 13th overall pick in the 1963 draft, and swatted a double to left. It was his 19th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Industrials ahead, 3-0.

"Jerry is a gamer," said Pittsburgh manager Vincent Wicker.
