In a tight contest at LaSalle Stadium, the Atlanta Generals edged the Montreal Habitants by the score of 3-2 in 10 innings. Atlanta center fielder Matt Legrow, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. With the win, the Generals hiked their record to 49-46.

Legrow had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch sinker from Al Johns, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Generals a 3-2 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Legrow.

Said Legrow: "It's just one win, but it feels like more when you outlast a tough opponent."
