The Washington Eagles downed the San Diego Captains, 5-4, at Monument Field. Vince Marshall led the way, going 3-for-3 for Washington. San Diego has now lost 5 straight.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Marshall hit a fastball from Ed Prater for a run-scoring single. The Eagles, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I try to not think too much," said Marshall.
