Baltimore turned a good performance from starting pitcher Dan Valenti into a 2-1 triumph over the Detroit Wolverines in 10 innings at Wolverine Field. Denny Boyd earned the save for Baltimore, his 6th of the year. The Wolverines, at 50-44, have lost 4 straight games.
