Knickerbockers Flatten Blockbusters, 11-2

Riding the 4-hit performance of the 24-year old second baseman Steve Wright, the New York Knickerbockers stopped the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 11-2, in 9 innings. Chris Hull, the winner, improved to 5-7. He held the Blockbusters to 2 runs on 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 4. New York sits in second place in the National Baseball League Eastern Division at 52-42.
Starting Pitcher Chris Hull made an impact for New York, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Larry Messenger in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Hull threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball.
