The New York Knickerbockers picked up a win at Blockbuster Stadium, knocking off the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 5-4, in 10 innings. On the mound for New York was right-hander Ollie Hundley. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. The 4th-place Knickerbockers now sit at 49-46.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Charlie Fee? The four-time All-Star Fee stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put New York up, 5-4. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
