At Roman Arena, the Cincinnati Packers and Pittsburgh Industrials were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Bob Briggs, who is a two-time All-Star, propelled his team to victory over the Cincinnati Packers. The final score was 8-2, Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is now 56-40, Cincinnati 45-53.

Had Don Keough not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Keough hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Industrials.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Keough, "and then get after it again."
