Lockhart Leads Drillers to Win
The Houston Drillers beat the Twin Cities Northmen, 5-3, at Twin Cities Stadium. Mike Lockhart, who is tied for 8th in the ABL in runs scored with 59, starred for Houston. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Picking up the save was Tom McAteer, his 14th. At 56-38, the Drillers find themselves in second place in the American Baseball League Western Division.

Houston third baseman Bob Rawlins contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 20th hit of the season and put the Drillers ahead, 5-1.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Twin Cities manager Jason Gudim.
