Industrials Win with Late Rally
|
Pittsburgh left fielder Don Keough contributed significantly to his team's 7-6 win over the Cincinnati Packers. Keough, who finished 3rd in the NBL in OPS with 1.018 in 1970, went 3 for 6 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Industrials. The Industrials are now 57-40.
Lew Ward had a key at-bat in the top of the 13th. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. It helped send Pittsburgh to the win.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Vincent Wicker, the Pittsburgh skipper.
