Weaver goes 3-for-4 to Ignite Northmen Offense
|
The rain did not keep Twin Cities and Houston from finishing their game.
Good production from center fielder Dave Weaver helped the Twin Cities Northmen topple the Houston Drillers, 7-5. Weaver was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Northmen. Twin Cities is now 41-56, while Houston is 59-39.
David Davalos, who finished 4th in the NBL in on-base percentage with .413 in 1969, helped out the Twin Cities cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the first baseman went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Weaver.
