The Cincinnati Packers did just enough to sneak past the Cleveland Bobcats, 5-4, at Lakefront Stadium. Cincinnati pitcher Fernando Lopez, in particular, had a standout performance. The victory gives Cincinnati a record of 50-46.

Cincinnati used the timely hitting of David Davalos to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Packers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Lopez.
