DeGagne Now 5-6 Following 1-0 Win
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Toronto Hurons and Atlanta Generals.
In a low-scoring affair between the Toronto Hurons and the Atlanta Generals, pitcher Tom DeGagne was the difference between victory and defeat. The Toronto left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 1-0 Hurons win. Steve Persenaire, credited with the save, is now 5 for 7 in save opportunities.
DeGagne scattered 4 hits over 8.2 innings for the Hurons. With the win, DeGagne moves to 5-6 on the year with 63 strikeouts.
"Tom's not intimidated by who's stepping into the batter's box," said Toronto manager Jim Burns.
After today's action, Toronto sits at 46-51, while Atlanta falls to 44-51.
