Cassill Helps Washington Outscore Los Angeles
In a high-scoring contest between Washington and Los Angeles, left fielder Alan Cassill was a difference-maker. Cassill, who is tied for 2nd in the NBL in runs scored with 70, distinguished himself in the 13-10 Washington win. He went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. The setback makes Los Angeles 47-52.

With Washington trailing 10-9 in the top of the ninth, Cassill hit a fastball from Tom Benson for a 2-run double. It was his 22nd double of the season and put the Eagles ahead, 11-10.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Brandon Tucker.
