Northmen Bang Out 6-1 Win Versus Dallas
|
Twin Cities Northmen starter Gerald Gross kept the Dallas Wranglers hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-1 win. The Northmen improved their record to 44-53 by beating Dallas.
The Northmen got a big at-bat from shortstop Buddy Shingleton. For the game, Shingleton was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Twin Cities a 2-0 lead.
"We didn't play well enough to win," said Dallas skipper William Albrecht.
