Emeralds Grind Out 2-1 Win

The Seattle Emeralds got a stellar effort from pitcher John Walker, helping Seattle score a win over the visiting New York Empires, 2-1. The winning pitcher was Walker, now 9-8. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. The Emeralds have now won 4 straight.
Don Pelletier helped out the Seattle cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk.
