Los Angeles starter Dan Turner pitched well against the New York Empires at San Vicente Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-3. Turner got the win, improving to 12-9. He gave up 6 hits and walked 0 over 9 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The victory gives Los Angeles a record of 52-45.

Ron Somers had a big 2-run home run for the Pobladores in the bottom of the first inning. With Los Angeles leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from Nate Frampton, who finished 4th in the ABL in wins with 16 in 1964, and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Pobladores on top, 4-0.
