Riojas Slugs Packers to 7-6 Win
The Cincinnati Packers used the hitting of second baseman Manny Riojas to subdue the Cleveland Bobcats, 7-6. For the game, Riojas hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Picking up the save was 31-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Quade. The 6th-place Packers bumped their record to 49-52.

Riojas had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-2 curveball from Tim Fried, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Packers a 7-6 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Riojas.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Riojas said.
