Due in large part to left fielder Don Keough, the Pittsburgh Industrials sunk the Cleveland Bobcats, 7-6. Keough went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. The win for the Industrials raised their record to 60-41.

Keith Stoeser was the walk-off hero for Pittsburgh. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Industrials pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Industrials," said Stoeser.
