Milwaukee Municipal Stadium was the site of a tense game between the Washington Eagles and Milwaukee Dairymen.

The Milwaukee Dairymen got a stellar effort from pitcher Juan Mendoza, helping Milwaukee score a win over the visiting Washington Eagles, 3-1. The loss drops Washington to 4-7.

Dennis Thomas contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. His at-bat helped Milwaukee get the win.

"I thought Juan threw the ball well across the board," said Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley.
