The Houston Drillers beat the Chicago Hawks, 9-5, at Hyde Park Stadium. Houston left fielder Mark Sisson had an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The winner was Syed Farooqi, who threw 129 pitches over 9 innings.
