Pobladores Stumble, Lose to Lords
|
Baltimore and Los Angeles put this game in the books despite some rain.
Baltimore pitcher Larry Diego had a large part in his team beating the Los Angeles Pobladores, 9-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. With the win, Baltimore upped its record to 53-46.
Baltimore took the lead, 8-3, on Mike Caito's 6th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Los Angeles pitcher Larry Seger in the bottom of the eighth.
"We scored more than enough runs this time," said Baltimore manager Steve Read. "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."
