Montreal Beats Seattle, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring contest, Montreal pitcher Manny Esparza was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. Montreal now has a record of 55-45 with the win.
The Habitants got a big at-bat from first baseman Grammercy Locke. For the game, Locke was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Montreal a 2-0 lead.
"That's what this team is about," said Locke, "picking each other up."
