Crumm Paces Hurons to 1-0 Win
|
The Toronto Hurons downed the Montreal Habitants, 1-0, at Dominion Field. Stellar pitching by Dan Crumm had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who finished 4th in the ABL in innings pitched with 257.1 in 1969, handcuffed his opponent all game. The second-place Hurons have won 4 straight games.
Toronto starter Dan Crumm pitched like a boss. The 6-foot-0 left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 8 innings.
"Dan was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Toronto manager Jim Burns.
