Knickerbockers Defeat Bluebirds, 4-3
New York registered a win at Knickerbocker Stadium by beating the Brooklyn Bluebirds, 4-3. Pitcher Ollie Hundley was one reason why the Knickerbockers triumphed. New York reliever Billy Goff picked up the win, raising his record to 3-4. Dave Teckenbrock was tagged with the loss. New York's record now stands at 51-49, placing them third in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.

New York got a clutch hit from Ron Brown. The third baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Brooklyn manager John Meeker, "let me know."
