Barroso has 3 hits, Seagulls Move to 64-35
The 7-3 San Francisco win over Los Angeles was due largely to Jose Barroso. The Seagulls catcher went 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. The winner was Tim Stambaugh, who threw 122 pitches over 6.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits. The victory gives the Seagulls a record of 64-35.

With San Francisco trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Barroso hit a cutter from Bob Powell for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Seagulls ahead, 3-2.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Barroso.
