The Baltimore Lords used a great performance from seven-time All-Star Larry Diego to beat the Toronto Hurons, 2-0, at Seton Hill Stadium. Diego got the win, improving to 10-5. He gave up 3 hits and walked 0 over 6.2 innings. He allowed no runs. Nate Summers was credited with the save, his 2nd in 2 tries.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Lords had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when shortstop Mike Caito hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Bill John and made the score 2-0, Lords. Caito went 1 for 2 with a walk.

"We leaned on our pitching tonight," Diego said.

The victory gives Baltimore a record of 56-44.
