Terriers Beaten By Habitants, 3-1
|
Starting pitcher Rich Barron was a major factor in the 3-1 Montreal Habitants triumph over the Boston Terriers. The third-place Habitants have won 5 in a row.
The Habitants got a big at-bat from first baseman Don Hill. For the game, Hill went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 12th double of the season gave Montreal a 2-1 lead.
"It's a mindset," said Barron. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
