Blockbusters Handed 5-3 Loss by San Diego
|
The San Diego Captains knocked off the Los Angeles Blockbusters, 5-3, in National Baseball League action at San Diego Sporting Complex. San Diego pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native Ed Payne had an outstanding performance. Ed Prater earned his 14th save, after closing out the game. The Captains are now 53-50, while the Blockbusters fall to 49-53.
The Captains picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Payne said.
