Bluebirds Get 7-4 Win Versus New York
A 3-RBI performance from Jackie Cooper, who is tied for 2nd in the NBL in triples with 10, helped the Brooklyn Bluebirds beat the New York Knickerbockers, 7-4. Earning his 18th save of the year was Bob Hill. The Bluebirds, at 49-53, sit in 4th place in the National Baseball League Eastern Division.

Brooklyn took a 7-4 lead on Wade Fields's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Fields hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New York pitcher Albert Green visibly frustrated.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Fields told the Brooklyn Bulletin.
