Montreal Habitants starter Oscar Rodela pitched a strong game against the Dallas Wranglers at Bluff Park, leading the Habitants to victory, 5-3. The 6th-place Habitants bumped their record to 49-54.

Montreal won the game in part because of Jeff Murchison. The right fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Habitants ahead, 4-1. For the game, Murchison had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Montreal manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon.
