Dairymen Come Up Short at Kansas City, 3-2
The Kansas City Bulls and Milwaukee Dairymen played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

In a low-scoring affair between the Kansas City Bulls and the Milwaukee Dairymen, pitcher Mike Brown was the difference between victory and defeat. The Kansas City right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Bulls win. Getting the save was Bob Crosby, his 29th.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Bulls had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when shortstop Bob Madaras hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Tom Rockliffe and made the score 3-2, Bulls. Madaras was 1-3.

Madaras called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."

Kansas City is now 56-46, Milwaukee 45-57.
