Generals Rally Late to Clip Boston
The Atlanta Generals did just enough to nip the Boston Terriers, 3-2, in 11 innings. Atlanta pitcher Bill Davis, in particular, had a standout performance. The win puts Atlanta at 5-5.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Ed Mika? The 28-year old first baseman Mika stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put Atlanta up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.

Boston manager Hudson Montgomery said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
