The Pittsburgh Industrials picked up a win at Allegheny Field, downing the Washington Eagles, 7-4. On the mound for Pittsburgh was right-hander John Fagan, who played a pivotal role in the win. The win elevated the Industrials to 62-43.
Jim Shuman, who is tied for 7th in the NBL in triples with 6, helped out the Pittsburgh cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a 2-run triple. For the game, the third baseman was 1-3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Fagan.
