In a tight contest at Atlantic Station Field, the Atlanta Generals edged the Houston Drillers by the score of 12-11. Atlanta first baseman Ed Mika, who blasted 2 home runs, was a key contributor. Ron Cwiklinski earned the save for Atlanta, his 4th. The 6th-place Generals improved to 45-56.
