McLemore Hits 2 home runs in Bulls Win
The Kansas City Bulls beat the Milwaukee Dairymen, 7-6, at Independence Field. Haskell McLemore, who is tied for 5th in the NBL in extra base hits with 48, starred for Kansas City. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5. Dave Fields picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Bernie Kirk suffered the loss. Bob Crosby closed it out for his 30th save.

McLemore had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 curveball from Bernie Kirk, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Bulls a 7-6 lead. It was the 23rd home run of the year for McLemore.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Kansas City manager DD Martin.

The win elevated the Bulls to 57-46.
