Northmen Win Nail-Biter in 12
|
The Twin Cities Northmen beat the Atlanta Generals, 3-2, in 12 innings. Twin Cities pitcher and Plymouth, Massachusetts, native Charlie Sokol led the way. The win puts Twin Cities at 56-48 this season.
The Northmen got a clutch hit from second baseman Steve Pavey. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Northmen.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Pavey.
