Atlanta Dealt 6-1 Defeat
|
The Twin Cities Northmen got a marvelous performance from pitcher Archie Makins. The right-hander kept the Atlanta offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 6-1 Twin Cities victory at Twin Cities Stadium. Twin Cities reliever Archie Makins got the win, raising his record to 2-0. George Palmer was tagged with the loss. The Northmen now have a record of 47-57 with the win over Atlanta.
The Northmen picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"We played hard and won," said Makins. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
