Packers Take It on Chin, Lose, 10-0, to Philadelphia
|
It wasn't easy but Juan Ramirez made it look that way.
Ramirez silenced the Cincinnati Packers, 10-0, in a Philadelphia Quakers triumph at Quakers Stadium. Despite the appearance of dominance, Ramirez said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 4 walks and 4 hits.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
Looking at his season stats, Ramirez has won 13 and lost 1, collecting 80 strikeouts and 60 walks in 164 innings with a 1.98 ERA.
