Burros Beaten By Blockbusters, 5-3
|
The Los Angeles Blockbusters picked up a win at Blockbuster Stadium, knocking off the Denver Burros, 5-3. Starting pitcher Wayne Guilmette was a big reason why. Dennis Dixon, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities. Today's win puts Los Angeles at 45-58, while Denver falls to 61-43.
Lee Craig's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for Los Angeles. Coming to bat with one out, a runner on 2nd and Los Angeles trailing 3-2, the catcher hit a run-scoring single.
Los Angeles manager John Trausch was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
