Lords Fall Short, 2-1, at Montreal
|
Montreal pitcher Oscar Rodela did his part in helping his team defeat the Baltimore Lords, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The victory makes Montreal 8-2, as the team seeks a return to the playoffs in 1970.
Ed Hudson, the 18th overall pick in the 1968 draft, chipped in a solo home run for Montreal in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Rodela.
