Toronto Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Mike Beers, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 1972 draft, was locked in. The right-hander led the Toronto Hurons to a 4-2 win against the Baltimore Lords at Dominion Field. Today's win puts Toronto at 42-61, while Baltimore falls to 51-53.

Toronto got a knockout punch from Jeff McPhearson. The pinch hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

McPhearson called the win "a team effort."
