Terriers Win, 2-1, Over Toronto
|
The Boston Terriers eked out a 2-1 win versus the Toronto Hurons at Dominion Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Paul Wiley. He was terrific. Kim Glanden was credited with the save for Boston, his 2nd of the season. With the win, Boston is 7-4.
Boston relied on the hitting of Willie Black to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Terriers on top, 2-0. For the game, Black had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We did just enough to win," Black said.
