Bobcats Upend Eagles, 3-2
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Cleveland Bobcats and Washington Eagles.

The Cleveland Bobcats earned a close win over the Washington Eagles, thanks in part to Myron Baird. The Cleveland right-hander, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 1968 draft, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The 6th-place Bobcats have won 4 straight.

Ray Gardner had a direct impact on the outcome. Gardner contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Cleveland up, 3-2.

Baird told the Cleveland Observer: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."
