Drillers Score 4-2 Win Over Twin Cities
|
Twin Cities Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Twin Cities Northmen and Houston Drillers.
The Houston Drillers picked up a win at Twin Cities Stadium, taking down the Twin Cities Northmen, 4-2. Starting pitcher Rick McStay was a big reason why. Earning his 11th save for Houston was Larry Bilski.
Houston used the hitting of Wade Fields to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Drillers on top, 3-0. For the game, Fields had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Houston manager Nate Nilsson praised his team's "energy."
After today's action, Houston sits at 55-51; Twin Cities slips to 50-54.
