The Toronto Hurons defeated the New York Empires, 8-3, in American Baseball League action at Queens Field. Emanuel Santiago pulled his weight. The 11-year veteran went 3-3 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The victory gives the Hurons a record of 56-51.

Max Lasseter, who is tied for 6th in the ABL with a .496 slugging percentage, helped out the Toronto cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 4 with a double.
