Hawks Stumble, Lose to Seagulls
Seagulls third baseman Gail Bishop left his mark on his team's 11-4 win over the Chicago Hawks. Bishop, the 12th overall pick in the 1969 draft, went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 times for San Francisco in the contest. The Seagulls have an impressive 67-37 record.

Bobby Tapia, who is tied for 4th in the ABL in extra base hits with 39, took Chicago hurler Glenn Bailey deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Seagulls on top, 2-0. In all, Tapia had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Tapia told the San Francisco Citizen.
