Dairymen Bridle Industrials, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Milwaukee Dairymen and the Pittsburgh Industrials, former first round draft pick Andy Campbell proved to be the difference. The Milwaukee right-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Dairymen win. Dan Valenti wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save. Milwaukee, at 50-56, sits in 5th place in the National Baseball League Western Division.
Milwaukee relied on the bat of Reggie Bryce to get the win. The second baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the first inning to put the Dairymen ahead, 1-0. For the game, Bryce had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.
"Andy just settled in and did what he does," said Milwaukee manager Brandon Dudley.
