Thanks in large part to second baseman Manuel Castillo, the Los Angeles Pobladores beat the Houston Drillers, 14-4. Castillo was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Pobladores now own a record of 54-53.

Early in the game, Castillo had a run-scoring double for Los Angeles. It was his 10th double of the season and put the Pobladores on top, 1-0.
