Bluebirds Bag 4-2 Win
The Brooklyn Bluebirds picked up a win at Monument Field, dropping the Washington Eagles, 4-2. Kevin Wade, who is tied for 9th in the NBL in strikeouts with 99, was the difference-maker. Wade picked up the win for Brooklyn, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 10-7. The setback makes Washington 47-61.

Brooklyn relied on the hitting of Toby Golf to pick up the win. The first baseman ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bluebirds on top, 3-0. For the game, Golf had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Kevin made some big pitches when he needed to," said Bluebirds manager John Meeker.
