The Cincinnati Packers electrified the crowd with a walk-off win.

The Cincinnati Packers weathered an outstanding game by New York second baseman Steve Wright to topple the Knickerbockers, 8-7. Wright went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Knickerbockers fall to 4-7 and continue to sputter in the early going.

The decisive blow was delivered by Glenn Palmer in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 33-year old right-handed pitcher Albert Green to win the game for Cincinnati. The home crowd went nuts.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Palmer said.
