Not everyone stuck through the 62-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The Washington Eagles grabbed a win, 9-2, over the Cleveland Bobcats at Monument Field. Washington right fielder Mike Lockhart was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win lifts Washington to a record of 5-6.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Lockhart hit a 2-run single off Roger Scherf. It propelled the Eagles into the lead, 4-2.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Washington skipper Juan Placeholder.
