Empires Suffer One-Run Loss at Baltimore
The Baltimore Lords downed the New York Empires, 1-0, at Seton Hill Stadium. Stellar pitching by Gary Moore had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who finished 4th in the ABL in strikeouts with 223 in 1968, handcuffed his opponent all game. Baltimore has now won 3 in a row.

The Lords got a big at-bat from left fielder Richie Amos. For the game, Amos was 2-4 with 2 doubles. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 13th double of the season gave Baltimore a 1-0 lead.

"I was seeing the ball well tonight," said Amos.
